Lindsay is a student missionary at Yap (a small island near the Philippines). She’s teaching first grade. She shares on her blog her creative way of showing Jesus to her kids.

She normally sings “Into My Heart” with her kids in her morning class. One day after singing, she drew a big heart on the board and put a door in the heart.

She writes:

I proceeded to tell them that we each have a door to our heart. “Jesus is knocking on your heart,” I told them. We even made our own sound effects by knocking our the desks (kids love that sorta stuff!) then we talked about letting Jesus into our hearts and then when He’s in there we cant help but shine out our love and joy to others. We discussed a few things that show joy and love such as smiling and being obedient rather than hitting and saying mean things. Then I asked them if they wanted Jesus in their hearts and they all raised their hands and shouted, “YES!!!” They even all said that they wanted to let Jesus shine out of their hearts too!

It looks like she’s making a difference for Christ. She planting seeds of the gospel in young minds. Great job, Lindsay!
