I’m back! Sorry I haven’t posted this month. All that posting in February wore me out! :) I’ve also been busy with school and business responsibilities.
PEOPLE TO THANK
Thanks to everyone who’s read my series on having a better devotional life. I appreciate it. Even if you read one post, thanks for taking the time.
Thanks especially to Quan, Cory, Sara, Julie, and Kendall. Each of these friends complimented me on my writing. Mark Twain said, “I can live for two months on a good compliment.” I’m encouraged to write more and more because of these friends’ compliments.
Thanks to Elaine, Femi, Kendall, and Carlos for leaving comments. Even my mom and dad left comments. How cool is that?
And finally, thanks to Ellen who left this comment which inspired me to write the series.
WHAT WOULD I DO DIFFERENTLY?
I think the series was too long. If I were to do another one, I would make it no longer than seven days.
Also, I would use better titles to catch people’s attention. Which title encourages people to read: “23 days to a better devotional life - day 16″ or “Why you should read the whole Bible”? Also, if someone came to my blog for the first time in the middle of the series, they may not read because they might feel like they have to read all the previous posts in the series. Most people are not looking to read 16 posts in one day.
I feel strongly about using better titles, so my next post will have the titles I would’ve used.
Anyways, how are you doing with daily Bible reading and prayer? Feel free to leave a comment. You can encourage others and others can pray for you.
If you’ve been consistent, I have faith that God will influence you. He will begin to work in your life. And know this: God is pleased because you realize your need for His friendship.
If you haven’t been consistent, today is another day to start anew and make a habit of connecting with God daily. We’re not condemned by God for our lack of time with Him. Instead, He’s waiting for us to turn to Him, because only by being with Him can we find true meaningful life. I’m praying for you.
Feel free to come back to this series anytime. God bless.
