(Day 7 of a series called “23 days to a better devotional life.†I’m posting daily this month on devotions.)
Tomorrow I’ll write about the benefits of solitude (being alone) and silence. Until then, here’s two verses to think about.
When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. (Matthew 6:6)
This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says:
“In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength,
but you would have none of it.” (Isaiah 30:15)
